Yesterday (Sept 17) was “Araw Ng Siquijor” a day to celebrate our province’s charter day.
The Coco Grove Family was out to represent! A beautiful Mermaid washed up on our shores that morning – so of course we had to put her in the parade! tongue emoticon Great weather and great fun! We hope you can join us next year in the festivities!

Here’s some helpful phrases in Visayan/Cebuano. By the way, in the central visayas we speak Visayan also known as Cebuano which is spoken in Siquijor, Negros Oriental, Bohol and Cebu. Other close variations of this dialect is spoken on some other islands areas nearby.
